THE VISIT OF THE MISSIONARIES  OF GOD’S LOVE

(MGL) SISTERS

Pope Francis also describes this  precious treasure of our Faith as also being like a lamp which guides our way in the night. This is a good way to appreciate the coming week-long visit of the Missionary of God’s Love Sisters to our  parishes  between 5^th-12^th May.

The MGL’s Sister’s life’s mission is to share and help encourage the  understanding and living of the precious gift of our Faith. Please ensure that you take the opportunities available to support and to contribute to the Sisters efforts during their time amongst us.

Also, outreach to our younger generations will also being expressed in the visits by the Sisters to our three schools on the mornings of May 10,11, and 12.

Presently, let’s remember to pray daily for God’s blessings upon the Sister’s and for our parishes during this coming special Easter-time event.- Fr Kevin Corrigan

Women’s Retreat

Thursday 11th May at Taree Resource Centre

Join with the MGL Sisters and the women of the Parish for an enjoyable evening as we journey together in Encountering the God of Love. The retreat will begin at 6.00pm with a shared meal (buffet style), followed by an input and sharing from the                sisters. There will also be times of prayer, music and fellowship as we open our hearts to all that God promises us. Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28. For catering purposes, please contact the parish office if you intend to join.)

Prayer and Meditation

Come and learn, discover and experience prayer and meditation. You will be guided by the sisters as we delve into different scenes of the Gospels through various meditation styles such as Lectio Divina, silent and Ignatian imaginative meditation. Come and experience this wonderful opportunity so you can take these practices into your daily life.
